Kimber and I played This Very Ground from Iron Ivan Games for game two of JamoCon 2017 2 Plus. It's a very different set of rules for the French and Indian War than Studio Tomahawk's Muskets & Tomahawks. In many ways, the manner in which the rules handle firing, reaction, morale, etc. feel perhaps more like a traditional wargame. All in all, it was great fun, and I definitely plan to play again. I think the goal will be to play the Battle of Sideling Hill scenario from Wargames Illustrated #271 which was designed specifically for this ruleset.

I'll eventually write a Rules in Review post about This Very Ground. In the meantime, there's always this excellent review from Anatoli's Game Room.
