I have a draft saved on upcoming board games that focus on the French and Indian War. However, it appears that some or all of the games may get released before I finish that post.

One of those games is Bloody Mohawk: The French and Indian War designed by Bill Molyneaux and published by Lock’n Load Publishing. It recently appeared on BoardGameGeek. I asked David Heath from Lock’n Load when it will be released, and he said later this month!

Bloody Mohawk seems to be a reimplementation of Bill’s French and Indian War Battle Collection from TwoBuckGames. Hopefully all twelve of the scenarios from the predecessor will be included. These are:

  • Jumonville Glen
  • Fort Neccessity
  • Braddocks Defeat
  • The Mary Jemison raid
  • Lake George
  • Sideling Hill
  • Fort William Henry
  • Snowshoes
  • Carillon
  • Plains of Abraham
  • Sainte Foy
  • Bushy Run

All scenarios in the set from TwoBuckGames play in under two hours which makes them great for a quick weeknight game. I also feel like the variety makes for a useful tool for study and miniature wargame scenario design.

Whatever the scenarios end up being, the new maps look great, and, given Lock’n Load’s reputation for quality, I’m sure the production values will be top notch.

I’m looking forward to adding this to the collection!
